Great article, Mitch. When I started out writing, I did so for myself, even though I wanted others to read my words. Then there came a time I focused on writing for others, but it made me so unhappy, and I let go of the idea of earning a living from writing. I still primarily write for myself, and enjoy and appreciate that others read my work :)
