I share personal information here, but when it makes me feel uncomfortable when I write it and know others will read it, I also know I shouldn't share it, and I don't. I have written about my kids here before, but only stories I know they wouldn't mind if I share them. In fact, I frequently give them the stories to read, or just tell them about them. You are right, we should consider what we share, as even when we hide behind a pseudonym or a non-personal image, someone might catch on who we are.
