… the way home, which took longer than usual because I was diverted by roadworks on the High Street, which is a name I’ve never understood considering it’s one of the lowest points in the whole town, all the hills are north and east, probably only the park is lower, and I know that because it flooded in the big storm we had in 2013. Like a boating lake, it was; the swans had a field day.
