Stunning. Just wow!

Instead, we did something which I also thought was pretty amazing. We took the cable car to the top of Mt. Vesuvius and spent the night on the rim of the crater, which was one of the coolest places I’ve ever slept. We had only brought our sleeping bags and some food and lay out on the ground under the open sky.
