What a great writing. So much of it resonated with me, such as trying to make others happy before yourself, trying to be the child a parent wants you to be and therefore betraying yourself. I am approaching 60, and in the past year I have learned what it is to be there for myself, to take care of myself. Sometimes I stray from the path but then posts like this one serve as a reminder. Thank you for that.
