When I started writing (blogging) I only did fiction, and eventually started writing about my life, my feelings, my fears. When I am mentally low, it blocks me from writing anything creative and I first have to get it out, write about what bothers me, and it opens me up to writing creatively again. I appreciate when others write about their feelings too, as it might help me to work through some of my own issues; give me ideas how to do so. It also shows me the real people behind the other stories.
